The National Council for Palliative Care (NCPC) is the umbrella charity for palliative, end of life and hospice care in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. We believe that everyone approaching the end of life has the right to the highest quality care and support, wherever they live, and whatever their condition. We work with government, health and social care staff and people with personal experience to improve end of life care for all. NCPC leads the Dying Matters Coalition which aims to change public attitudes and behaviours around dying, death and bereavement.

We are looking for individuals to join NCPC’s Board of Trustees, with skills and expertise in ethical issues, spirituality, clinical, marketing, fundraising, IT and finance experience. You’ll agree with our mission and strategic direction and be able to advise us on the best route to achieve them. You’ll recognise our strengths and achievements but also act as a critical friend and make suggestions for improvement and change. This is an exciting opportunity to support a growing, influential organisation and to improve end of life care for all.

Board meetings take place quarterly and there are other opportunities to support our work at events and meetings throughout the year. An induction and support programme will be provided to all new Trustees.

For more information or to arrange an informal discussion about becoming a Trustee please contact Phillipa Casbon (Executive Assistant) on p.casbon@ncpc.org.uk or call 01235 512384 (DDR) / 020 7697 1520.
