Policy and Data Steering Group

As there are issues in common between the groups, the policy unit co-ordinates the work plans to ensure that appropriate connections are made and joint or delegated work undertaken as appropriate.

Regular meeting of the four chairs and the policy unit staff are held to oversee the whole policy programme. Other attendees may include the Department of Health’s End of Life Care Programme Director, the National Leads for the individual end of life care tools and the independent assessor charged with quality assurance for the policy unit.
