Neurological Conditions Policy GroupThis policy group was established in March 2005 and is chaired by Vicki Morrey, NCPC Trustee and Chief Executive of Prospect Hospice. The lead policy unit input is provided by Emily Sam, supported by Alice Fuller. This is a wide ranging clinical area in which needs vary considerably and again there will be a staged approach to the work. This will address a small number of selected conditions initially, with a view to defining a single palliative care pathway for neurological conditions, with different entry points according to the needs that arise associated with each particular condition. The National Service Framework for Long Term Conditions, published in March 2005 and currently undergoing a mid-point review, is significant to the work of this group.
