NCPC survey of heart failure nurses and use of specialist palliative care servicesNCPC is currently carrying out a survey to review the current links between heart failure nurses and palliative care services. We would be very grateful if you would help us by completing the short survey online, which should take no more than ten minutes to complete.
You can complete the survey on behalf of your organisation online here
Alternatively you can download a Word document version of the survey here.
Please email completed forms to policy@ncpc.org.uk The survey will close on Friday 5th March 2010. This piece of work is being led by the Heart Failure Policy Group at NCPC, whose members include a range of experts from the fields of cardiology and palliative care. The group carried out a similar survey at the end of 2005 which enabled them to identify priorities for palliative care training for heart failure nurses. Since 2005, there has been the launch of the first national End of Life Care Strategy and an increased emphasis on the roll out of end of life care tools across conditions. We want to determine whether these developments have had an impact on the level of integration between heart failure and specialist palliative care services or on the levels of palliative care delivered by heart failure nurses. We will be sharing the results through our work to inform service development for people with heart failure approaching the end of their lives. If you have any questions about the survey or any aspect of the group’s work, please contact Emily Sam, Deputy Director of Policy Development at NCPC, policy@ncpc.org.uk . |
