New interim guidance follows Liverpool Care Pathway Report

17 July 2013
NHS England issues interim guidance for doctors and nurses caring for people in the last days of life.

Following the publication of the review into the use and experience of the Liverpool Care Pathway (LCP), which recommended that use of the LCP be phased out over 6 to 12 months,  NHS England has issued some early interim guidance for doctors and nurses at the front line. This is intended to help settle uncertainties with respect to the immediate care of patients.
