NCPC responds to ARMC report on overtreatment

Date:
24 October 2016
The NCPC has responded to the report from the Academy of Royal Medical Colleges about overtreatment, including in end of life care.

Claire Henry, Chief Executive of the NCPC said “What is most important in end of life care is that each person receives the treatment they want, and nothing they don’t want. Such decisions need to follow early and informed conversations with medical staff, but all of us can start thinking about what we might want or not want, as we think about quality of life as well as length of life.”
